He has given numerous speeches to regional and national banking organizations on subjects ranging from Check 21 and HIPAA compliance to relationship management. He is also adept at building new product costing models, streamlining operations and leveraging technology to maximize profitability and drive down expense.

 

 

 

 


His experience includes:

                • Responsible for sale and implementation management of projects related to over $200 million in technology purchases for financial institution clients.
                • Range of projects included vendor selection and implementation in areas such as core processing platforms, payables / receivables technology, remittance systems, image based payments and document storage, cash management services and digital / mobile service delivery.
                • Managed the strategic evaluation, business needs analysis and technological feature roll-out of a ‘receivables hub’ service for a number of major financial organizations.
                • Negotiated vendor review and contract negotiations for over $225 million in technology purchases for financial institution clients. Technology purchases included Core processing platforms, Item processing transaction platforms, Loan generation systems, Electronic banking platforms and Remittance processing hardware / software configurations.
                • Created fee based revenue cash management revenue programs for over dozen financial institutions across the United States ranging from de novo to $10 billion in assets.
                • Conducted detailed back office operational assessments to help recognize workflow efficiencies, quality improvement and expense reduction. Areas included remit, transaction processing, loan creation and electronic banking.
                • Managed an eight person check processing software sales team to an average of nearly $25 million in net new sales annually.
                • Created Client Satisfaction program to accurately measure, track and improve overall client performance to a base of over 500 financial institutions and corporate clients.
                • Managed profitable third party reseller arrangements with large financial institutions including: Bank of America, JP Morgan/Chase, Well Fargo Bank, SunTrust and others.
                • Managed commercial banking remittance operations for a major Chicago bank with responsibility for 3,500 commercial accounts, over two million transactions monthly, 250 employees and an annualized budget of over $25 million.
                  Tom earned an MBA in Service Sector Management from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Northern Illinois University.
