Tommy Woo, a Senior Associate Consultant of RLR Management Consulting, Inc., has over 28 years of experience in financial institutions, auditing and consulting. He has led financial institution consulting engagements throughout the state of California in interest rate risk management, operations and compliance specialties.

Tommy’s experience in the financial industry includes management of operations for four southern California banks ranging from $32 million to $440 million in total assets.

His experience includes:

• Chief Financial Officer and Operating Officer for 4 southern California banks with total assets ranging from $32MM to $440MM. Direct responsibilities included finance and accounting, investment portfolio, liquidity, branch operations, deposit products, interest rate risk and enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, human resources and IT management and facility management.

• Reviewed regulatory compliance and internal controls including recommendations for compliance and control improvements to meet regulatory mandates.

• Successful management of projects related to bank wide network and system conversions, application conversions, product implementations, new branch development and installation, workflow analysis and process improvement and fee revenue enhancement.

• Member of the Information Technology Steering Committee of financial institutions, with direct management participation in bank wide systems selections and implementations, including bank wide conversions.

• Led network and banking system conversions including selection of banking systems, third-party compliance review, test scripting and system testing, validation of test results and contingency plan reviews.

• Performed interest rate risk review, investment portfolio review, liquidity risk review, accounting and finance audit, remote deposit capture audit, human resources audit, ACH audit, loan loss reserve adequacy review, and accounting supports for merger and acquisition.

• Prepared financial projections and interest rate risk analyzes using Profitstar model.

Tommy is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
